Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya komunikasi dosen dan gaya belajar mahasiswa dengan efektivitas komunikasi dalam perkuliahan daring pada mahasiswa prodi Ilmu Komunikasi UNY. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif Ilmu Komunikasi angkatan 2018 sampai 2020 yang berjumlah 271 orang. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling, dan diperoleh sebanyak 160 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner bentuk skala. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis korelasi ganda untuk hipotesis I dan korelasi product moment untuk hipotesis II & III. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan signifikan dan bernilai positif antara gaya komunikasi dosen dan gaya belajar mahasiswa dengan efektivitas komunikasi dalam perkuliahan daring pada mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi UNY dimana nilai Signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang lebih rendah dari 0,05 sehingga terdapat korelasi signifikan dan rhitung sebesar 0,405 bernilai positif sehingga hipotesis diterima.

Abstract

            This study aims to determine the relation between lecturers’ communication styles and students’ learning style with the effectiveness of communication in online lectures for communication science students of YSU. This study uses a quantitative approach, with the type of correlation research. The population in this study were active students of Communication Science from 2018 to 2020, totaling 271 people. The sampling technique in this study uses proportionate stratified random sampling technique, with the total of 160 samples. The data in this study was obtained by using a scaled questionnaire. The analysis technique uses multiple correlation analysis for the hypothesis I and Pearson’s product moment correlation for the hypothesis II & III. The results of this study are that there is a significant and positive correlation between the lecturers’ communication styles and students’ learning styles with the communication effectivity in online lectures for communication science students at YSU where the Significance value is 0.000 which is lower than 0.05 so that there is a significant correlation and r value of 0.405 and is positive so that the hypothesis is accepted.
