HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL DENGAN KONSEP DIRI REMAJA TUNARUNGU DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan konsep diri remaja tunarungu di Kota Yogyakarta. Melalui pendekatan metode kuantitatif inferensial dengan jenis analisis korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah remaja tunarungu di Kota Yogyakarta usia 12 – 25 tahun. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian adalah, terdapat hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan konsep diri remaja tunarungu di Kota Yogyakarta teruji dengan hasil perhitungan korelasi Product Moment sebesar 0,549 dengan nilai p = 0,001 lebih kecil dari resiko kesalahan. Kecenderungan komunikasi interpersonal remaja tunarungu di Kota Yogyakarta termasuk dalam kategori sedang sebanyak 27 orang (77%). Aspek sikap mendukung memiliki sumbangan terbanyak sebesar 0,864 dan aspek keterbukaan memiliki aspek terkecil sebesar 0,624. Kecenderungan konsep diri remaja tunarungu di Kota Yogyakarta termasuk dalam kategori sedang sebanyak 23 orang (66%). Aspek diri sosial memiliki sumbangan terbanyak sebesar 0,759 dan aspek akademik memiliki aspek terkecil sebesar 0,287.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between interpersonal communication with the self-concept of deaf adolescents in the city of Yogyakarta. Through the inferential quantitative method approach to the type of correlational analysis. The study population was deaf adolescents in the city of Yogyakarta, aged 12-25 years. Data analysis techniques using the product moment correlation formula. The results of the study are, there is a relationship between interpersonal communication with the self-concept of deaf adolescents in the city of Yogyakarta tested with the calculation of Product Moment correlation of 0.549 with a value of p = 0.001 smaller than the risk of error. The tendency of interpersonal communication of deaf adolescents in the city of Yogyakarta is included in the moderate category of 27 people (77%). The aspect of supporting attitude has the most contribution of 0.864 and the aspect of openness has the smallest aspect of 0.624. The tendency of the self-concept of deaf adolescents in the city of Yogyakarta is included in the moderate category of 23 people (66%). The social aspect has the highest contribution of 0.759 and the academic aspect has the smallest aspect of 0.28.
