FAKTOR PENENTU PEMILIHAN KARIR SISWA SMK NEGERI 1 DUKUHTURI KABUPATEN TEGAL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penentu pemilihan karir siswa SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik survei. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII di SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Kabupaten Tegal, Jawa Tengah berjumlah 156 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan Random sampling. Alat pengumpulan data berupa skala faktor penentu pemilihan karir. Uji validias insrumen menggunakan validitas isi dengan expert judgement, sedangkan reliabilitas dengan menggunakan formula Alpha Croncbach dengan nilai koefisien 0,849. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif deskriptif. Alat pengumpulan data berupa skala faktor penentu pemilihan karir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor yang menentukan pemilihan karir siswa SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Kabupaten Tegal menunjukkan faktor yang dominan yaitu faktor minat sebesar 18,8%, keluarga sebesar 11,9%, dan pengalaman belajar sebesar 11,7%.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the decisive factor in career choice of SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Tegal Regency students. This research is used the Quantitative method with survey techniques. The subjects of this research are 156 grade XII students of SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Tegal Regency Central Java. Random sampling is used as the sample collection technique. The instrument used in this research is a scale of decisive factor in career choice. Expert judgment is used as the content validation for instrument validation test. The reliability of the instrument is tested using the Cronbach’s Alpha formula with 0.849 coefficient value. The quantitative descriptive, is used as data analysis. The result of the research shows the dominant factors of the determinants in career choice of SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi Tegal Regency are interest factor as equal to 18.8%, family as much as 11.9%, and learning experience as equal to 11.7%.
