HUBUNGAN ANTARA SELF DISCLOSURE DENGAN INTIMASI PERTEMANAN PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA ANGKATAN TAHUN 2012

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self disclosure dengan intimasi pertemanan pada mahasiswa UNY angkatan tahun 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive multistage cluster random sampling. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi, melalui expert judgment. Uji reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan formula Alpha Cronbach dengan nilai koefisien α 0,823 pada skala self disclosure dan nilai koefisien α 0,858 pada skala intimasi pertemanan. Uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dalam program IBM SPSS Statistics 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara self disclosure dan intimasi pertemanan pada mahasiswa UNY angkatan tahun 2012. Hasil tersebut terbukti dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,686 dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Self disclosure memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap intimasi pertemanan sebesar 47%, berarti masih ada sumbangan sebesar 53% dari faktor lain.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the relationship between self-disclosure and intimate friendship on YSU students of the academic year 2012. This research used quantitative approach with correlational survey method. Purposive multistage cluster random sampling was used to determine the participants. The instruments for data collection were self-disclosure and intimate friendship scales. The validity of instruments was content validity through expert judgment.  The reliability of the instruments was examine using Alpha Cronbach formula, the result of alpha (α) coefficient values were 0.823 for self-disclosure scale and 0.858 for intimate friendship scale. To test  the hypothesis simple regression analysis was used. The results of this research indicated that there were positive and significant relationships among students of the academic year 2012 YSU, with coefficient correlation (r) 0.686 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The contribution of self-disclosure on intimate friendship was 47%, therefore there were still 53% contribution from other factors.
