HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DENGAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 TURI

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kondisi rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Turi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dengan kepercayaan diri pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Turi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan sosial dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,804 dan skala kepercayaan diri dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,846. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Turi yang berjumlah 89 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kendall Tau dalam statistik non parametrik karena data tidak berdistribusi normal.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebanyak 59,6% siswa memiliki dukungan sosial dalam kategori sedang dan sebanyak 40,0% siswa memiliki dukungan sosial yang tinggi; (2) sebanyak 47,2% memiliki kepercayaan diri yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan sebanyak 52,8% siswa memiliki kepercayaan diri yang tinggi; (3) hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai sig 0.000< 0.05 yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sosial dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Nilai korelasi

0.322 yang bernilai positif menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan sosial, maka akan semakin tinggi pula kepercayaan diri siswa dan begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the low self-confidence of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Turi. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and self-confidence of SMP Negeri 1 Turi students. This study used a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The data collection techniques used in this study were social support scale with a reliability value of 0.804 and a self-confidence scale with a reliability value of 0.846. This study's sample was 89 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Turi. The data analysis technique used in this study was Kendall Tau in non-parametric statistics because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed that (1) 59.6% of students had moderate social support and 40.0% of students had high social support; (2) 47.2% of students have self-confidence, which is in the medium category, and as many as 52.8% of students have high self-confidence; (3) the results of the hypothesis test show the sig value of

0.000 <0.05, which means that social support affects self-confidence. The correlation value of 0.322, which is positive, indicates that the higher the social support, the higher the self-confidence of students.
