EFEKTIVITAS METODE MIND MAPPING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN KARIER PESERTA DIDIK SMA NEGERI 1 PAKEM

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi experimental design dan menggunakan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design.Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 21 orang peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Pakem tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang memiliki kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket berupa skala pengambilan keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perhitungan rata-rata skor pengambilan keputusan karier sebelum diberikan treatment 101,18 dan ratarata skor pengambilan keputusan karier setelah diberikan treatment sebesar 126,09. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil uji mann whitney yaitu sebesar 0,000<0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang cukup signifikan. Selain itu, berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan uji wilcoxon signed ranks test dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,003<0,05 (taraf signifikan 5%) sehingga keputusannya adalah H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode mind mapping efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Pakem.

ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mind mapping method to improve career decision-making skills students of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. This research was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design approach and uses a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique of this research was a purposive sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 21 students of grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem in the academic year of 2019/2020 which had low career decision-making skills. Data collection technique used in this research was a questionnaire in the form of career decision-making scales. The results showed that the average calculation of career decision-making score before the treatment was 101.18 and the average score of career decision-making after the treatment was 126.09. Based on the Mann Whitney test, the result was equal to 0,000 <0.05 which meant there is a significant difference between the experimental and the control groups. In addition, based on the Wilcoxon signed ranks test with a significance value of 0.003 <0.05 (significant level of 5%), the result showed that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This shows that the mind mapping method is effective toimprove career decisionmaking skills students of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem.
