PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP KOMPETENSI KEPRIBADIAN GURU BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DI SMP N 1 PAKEM

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling di SMP N 1 Pakem. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII dan VIII SMP N 1 Pakem sebanyak 256 orang. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan skala persepsi siswa terhadap kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling. Hasil uji validitas ditemukan 93 butir item yang valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas ditemukan nilai alpha sebesar 0,979. Teknik analsis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling di SMP N 1 Pakem berdasarkan aspek menghargai dan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, individualitas dan kebebasan memilih dilihat dari rata-rata skor siswa sebesar 126 masuk pada kategori “cukup”, aspek menunjukkan intergritas dan stabilitas kepribadian yang kuat dilihat dari rata-rata skor siswa 82,5 masuk pada kategori “cukup” dan pada aspek menampilkan kinerja berkualitas tinggi dilihat dari rata-rata skor siswa sebesar 90 masuk pada kategori cukup.

Abstract

This research is aimed to determines student’s perception of the teacher’s personal competence of guidance and counseling in SMP N 1 Pakem. This research used quantitative approach. The subjects of the research were 256 students of grade 7th and 8th in SMP N 1 Pakem. This research data were collected using scale about student’s persception of the teacher’s personal competence of guidance and counseling. The validity and reliability of the data were measured and it was found that there were 93 items considered as valid. For the reliability, it was found that the alpha value was of 0,979. The data were analysed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research data showed that students’ perception on the aspects of respecting and upholding human values, individuality and freedom of choice was categorised as “enough” with the average score of 126. Aspects of integrity and strong stability was categorised as “enough” with the average score of 82,5. Meanwhile, the aspects of quality performance was categorised as “enough” with the average score of 90.
