PENGARUH POLA ASUH OTORITATIF TERHADAP REGULASI EMOSI DAN KONFORMITAS KELOMPOK SEBAYA DALAM AKTIVITAS KELAS

Penelitian mengenai pola asuh sudah banyak dilakukan, akan tetapi pengaruh pola asuh terhadap variabel tertentu masih menarik untuk diteliti. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh pola asuh otoritatif terhadap regulasi emosi dan (2) pengaruh pola asuh otoritatif terhadap konformitas kelompok sebaya dalam aktivitas kelas. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex-post facto. Responden penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 3 Depok. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pola asuh otoritatif, skala regulasi emosi, dan skala konformitas kelompok sebaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pola asuh otoritatif terhadap regulasi emosi dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0,000 dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 38,8%, dan (2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pola asuh otoritatif terhadap konformitas kelompok sebaya dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0,000 dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 14,6%.

Abstract

Research on parenting has been done a lot, but the influence of parenting on certain variables is still interesting to study. Therefore, this study aims to determine: (1) the effect of authoritative parenting toward emotion regulation and (2) the effect of authoritative parenting toward peer group conformity in class activities. The research approach is a quantitative with ex-post facto method. The research respondents were all students of class VIII at SMPN 3 Depok. This research used authoritative parenting scale, emotion regulation scale, and peer group conformity scale as the data collection technique. The results of this study showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant effect of authoritative parenting toward emotion regulation with the significance of 0.000 and effective contribution as much as 38.8% and (2) there was a positive and significant effect of authoritative parenting toward peer group conformity with the significance of 0.000 and effective contribution as much as 14.6%.
