PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI DALAM KELUARGA TERHADAP CITRA DIRI SISWA SMP NEGERI 3 PAKEM

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya fenomena kurangnya komunikasi dalam keluarga oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh yang terjadi antara komunikasi dalam keluarga terhadap citra diri siswa. Jenis Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasi. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 384 siswa terdiri dari total 12 kelas, perhitungan jumlah sampel menggunakan tabel rumus dari Isaac dan Michael (1981) yaitu jika populasi berjumlah 380 maka didapatkan angka sebesar 191. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala komunikasi dalam keluarga dan skala citra diri yang kemudian dilakukan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan nilai koefisiensi Alpha Cronbach dengan hasil 0,814 untuk komunikasi dalam keluarga dan 0,875 untuk citra diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat, uji yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dan uji linearitas serta uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara komunikasi dalam keluarga terhadap citra diri. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari taraf signifikansi yang diperoleh yaitu 0,000 atau p < 0,05, memiliki koefisien regresi sebesar 0,498 dan keofisien determinasi sebesar 0,248 dapat diartikan bahwa pengaruh yang terjadi yaitu sebesar 24,8%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya terjadi pengaruh antara komunikasi dalam keluarga terhadap citra diri siswa.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the phenomenon of lack of communication in the family, therefore this study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence that occurs between the communication in the family to the self image of students. The type of research approach used in this study is quantitative research with this type of correlation. The research population amounted to 384 students consisting of a total of 12 classes, calculation of samples using a table of formulas from Isaac and Michael (1981) If the population amounted to 380 it was obtained a figure of 191. Data retrieval is carried out using the scale of communication in the family and the scale of self-image which then carried out the validity test and reliability test. The reliability test uses the value of the coefficiencies of the Alpha Cronbach with the 0.814 result for communication in the family and 0.875 for self-image. Analysis of data using prerequisite tests, tests carried out is a test of normality and linearity test as well as hypothesis testing conducted using simple linear regression tests. The results of this study show that there is an influence between communication in the family to self-image. This can be proved from the significance of the acquired value of the 0.000 or P < 0.05, having a regression coefficient of 0.498 and the practication of the determination of 0.248 can be interpreted that the effect of the occurring is 24.8%. Then it can be concluded that there is an influence between communication in the family to the student's self-image.
