PENGARUH KECERDASAN ADVERSITY TERHADAP IRRATIONAL BELIEFS KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 2 GODEAN YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kecerdasan adversity terhadap irrational beliefs. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekantan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Godean sebanyak 127 siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota populasi. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan expert judgment dan korelasi product moment. Uji reliabilitas instrumen dihitung dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach, dan diperoleh nilai koefisien α 0,901 pada skala kecerdasan adversity serta 0,860 pada skala irrational beliefs. Analisis data dan uji hipotesis menggunakan teknik regresi liner sederhana dengan nilai signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan adversity mempunyai pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap irrational beliefs. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05) dan persamaan garis regresi Y= 141,671 + (-0,640) X yang berarti jika kecerdasan adversity dinaikkan 1% maka irrational beliefs  diprediksi akan turun sebesar 0,640. Sehingga, kecerdasan adversity dapat berperan menjadi prediktor untuk tingkat irrational beliefs yang dimiliki siswa. Terdapat sumbangan efektif variabel kecerdasan adversity terhadap irrational beliefs sebesar 62%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of adversity quotient towards irrational beliefs. This research uses quantitative approach. There were 127 of 8^th grade in SMP N 2 Godean as the the reaserch. The subjects  of this research were all of 8^th grade students in SMP N 2 Godean. The instrument validity used expert judgment  and correlation product moment. Based on the reliability testing, α 0,901 was found as the coefficient adversity quotient scale and 0,860 as the coefficient of irrational beliefs scale. The simple linear regression technique with margin error of 5% was used to analyze the data and to test the hypothesis. The results show that there is negative-significant influence of  adversity quotient towards irrational beliefs. This result is showed by significance of 0,000 (p < 0,05) and the regression equality of Y= 141,671 + (-0,640) X. It proves that if adversity quotient level is increased by 1%, irrational beliefs will be decreased for 0,640. It can be concluded that adversity quotient infuences the irrational beliefs by giving an effective variable of  62%.
