HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERANAN KELOMPOK TEMAN SEBAYA (PEER GROUP) DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII SMP N 4 KALASAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) peranan kelompok teman sebaya (peer

group), (2) hasil belajar pada siswa, dan (3) hubungan antara peranan kelompok teman sebaya (peer group) dengan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas VIII SMP N 4 Kalasan. Penelitian ini merupakan

penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 4 Kalasan sebanyak 176

siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode skala, dan studi dokumentasi. Uji validitas menggunakan validitas isi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Peranan kelompok teman sebaya (peer group) siswa berada pada kategori “tinggi” sebanyak 61 siswa (51,69%); (2) Hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori “rendah” sebanyak

36 siswa (30,51%), dan berada pada kategori “sangat rendah” sebanyak 10 siswa (8,47%); dan (3)

Terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan peranan kelompok teman sebaya (peer group) dengan hasil belajar  siswa  kelas  VIII  SMP  N  4  Kalasan  dengan  nilai  p  sebesar  0,000  kurang  dari  0,05 (0,000<0,05).

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the role of peer groups (2) the learning outcomes of students,

and (3) the relationship between the role of peer groups (peer group) with the learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP N 4 Kalasan. This research is correlational research. The study sample was eighth grade students in SMP N 4 Kalasan as many as 176 students. Data collection techniques use scale method, and documentation study. Validity test uses content. Data analysis technique uses simple correlation test. The results showed that: (1) the role of peer groups (peer groups) students were in the "high" category as many as 61 students (51.69%); (2) Student learning outcomes are in the "low" category as many as 36 students (30.51%), and are in the "very low" category as many as

10 students (8.47%); and (3) There is a significant relationship between the role of peer groups (peer group) with the learning outcomes of VIII grade students of SMP N 4 Kalasan with a p value of 0,000

less than 0.05 (0,000 <0.05).
