PROTOTYPE INDOOR AIR QUALITY CONTROLLER BASED ON MICROCONTROLLER ATMEGA 328P

Abstract
This final project intends to realize the layout of hardware schematic and software, along to know the work performance of Prototype Indoor Air Quality Controller Based On Microcontroller ATmega 328p. This prototype function is to measure and control the air quality in the room. Method that use to make this Prototype Indoor Air Quality Controller Based On Microcontroller ATmega 328p are consist of several steps, such as (1) Identification of needs, (2) Analyst of needs, (3) System planning, (4) Software planning, (5) Creating device, (6) Testing device. This prototype device of indoor air quality controller, controlled with an IC Microcontroller ATmega 328p by using C language programmer. While the Hardware in this device consist of input and output section, such as MQ 7 sensor for CO gas detection, MQ 135 sensor for CO2 gas detection, and SHT11 for temperature and humidity detection sensor. With LCD 20x4 and LED using as display in this device, along with relay to control the exhaust fan. Based on test result that attempted in order to know the overall work performance as expected of Prototype Indoor Air Quality Controller Based On Microcontroller ATmega 328p, such as when sensor used to detect air quality and the result processed in Microcontroller ATmega 328p and the final result displayed to LCD and LED. If the detection result of sensor exceeds the normal limit of the gas in the room, then microcontroller will trigger relay to turn on the exhaust fan, in order to reduce the pollutant gas. After comparing the result of this device with the original measuring instrument, the error percentage MQ 7 sensor is 2.08%, MQ 135 sensor is 3.41%, and SHT11 sensor is 2.25% when used to measure temperature and 2.14% when used to measure humidity.
