AUTOMATIC FEEDING MACHINE FOR FRESHWATER FISH CULTIVATION USING SMS BASED ON MIKROKONTROLER ARDUINO MEGA

Abstract


Freshwater fish cultivation business isi very influenced by the availability of the food, for that reason, cultivation should be giving fish food regularly in scheduled times. The purpose of making this machine is to build hardware and software automatic feeding machine for freshwater fish cultivation using SMS based on microcontroller Arduino mega, and to know its performance. The development of automatic feeding machine includes several stages namely, identification of the needs, diagram analysis of block needs, system planing, machine creation step, program flowchart, tool testing and data retrival. Arduino mega microcontroller (AT-Mega 2560) as the main control, SIM800L for sending and receving messages, power window motor as opening and closng stop faucet, DC gearbox motor as feed spreader, solar cell and engine battery as voltage source. The results for the automatic feeding machine performance testing on freshwater fish cultivation using SMS based on Arduino mega microcontroller is that the machine can work according to the function and its purpose., proved by testing solar cell on the scorching conditions resulting in closed circuit voltage of 12.62V average and at flat open circuit voltage 20.64V, battery pack test without load has error 1.116% and engine battery with load has error 0.83%, RTC test has errpr 1% with orginal time, voltage of motor power window when rotating 9V, DC motor gearbox current voltage spin 9.2V, SIM800L can send and recive message, in running algorithm program this machine has 100% success rate.
