Abstract

This study aims to identify: 1) the positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and civic education learning achievement, 2) the positive and significant relationship between learning continuity and civic education learning achievement. This study is a correlational study with the use of quantitative approach. The sample collection technique is proportional random sampling technique. The samples used in this study are the students of SMA Negeri 1 Ngaglik and SMA Negeri 2 Ngaglik, with a total of 81 students. The data collection methods are documentation and questionnaire. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) There is a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and civic education learning achievement of eleventh grade students of public schools in Ngaglik sub-district in the academic year of 2016/2017. It is proven by the r value which is greater than the critical value (0.313>0.220) with significance value of 0.004, which is less than 0.05 (0.004<0.05). 2) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning continuity and civic education learning achievement of eleventh grade students of public schools in Ngaglik sub-district in the academic year of 2016/2017. It is proven by the r value which is greater than the critical value (0.358>0.220) with significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05 (0.001<0.05).
