PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS NARASI EKSPOSITORIS SISWA KELAS IV SD DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK CATATAN HARIAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan menulis narasi ekspositoris siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Siyono III Playen, Gunungkidul dengan menggunakan teknik catatan harian. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes unjuk kerja. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif dan analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan teknik catatan harian dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan menulis narasi ekspositoris. Peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran ditunjukan dengan siswa lebih aktif dan antusias, serta keterampilan proses menulis narasi ekspositoris semakin baik. Peningkatan hasil keterampilan menulis narasi ekspositoris ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata siswa, pada pratindakan nilai rata-rata sebesar 63,52, siklus I sebesar 71,55, dan siklus II sebesar 81,30. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan pada pratindakan sebesar 0%, siklus I sebesar 33, 3%, dan siklus II sebesar 95, 24%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the quality of students' expository narrative writing skill learning process and achievement of class IV’s SD Negeri Siyono III Playen, Gunungkidul using diary technique. The data was collected with observation and performance test. The data analytic techniques were quantitative and qualitative data analytic. The result shows that the diary techniques application can improve students' expository narrative writing skill learning process and achievement. The learning process' quality improvement is showed by students' anthusiasm that is rapidly increasing, also by students' expository narrative writing skill process that is getting better. The expository narrative writing skill achievement's improvement is seen from students' average score that was 63,52 in pre cycle, increased to 81,55 in cycle 1, and increased again to 81,30 in cycle 2. Total amount of students who pass the minimum completeness criteria was 0% in pre cycle. It increased to 33,3% in cycle I and increased again to 95,24% in cycle II.
