THE EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE GERMAN VOCABULARY MASTERY OF THE 11TH GRADE STUDENTS TROUGH THE “SCHNELL FINDEN

Abstract


This study aims to improve (1) vocabulary authority in German for the 11th grade students of SMA N 1 Boyolali, (2) the learners’ activity for the 11th grade students of SMA N 1 Boyolali using the application of the “Schnell finden”. The type of this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). The strategy was determined collaboratively between researcher, teacher, and students. The subjects are thirty students in the 11th  grade of SMA N 1 Boyolali. This classroom action research consisted of 2 cycles. Each of the cycles consisted of 4 steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The ondicators of success in this study were (1) the success of the process and (2) the success of the product. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observation, questionnaires, field notes and vocabulary authoritytest in German. The data was analyzed by using  qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of this study indicates that  the “Schnell finden” (1) can improve vocabulary mastery  in German for the 11th grade students of SMA N 1 Boyolali.The improvement of the average grades of the students’ German vocabulary mastery  reaches 13,4%. In addition to the success of the product, there is also (2) the success of the process in from of the learners’ activity improvement the reaches 58%.
