Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran mastery learning terhadap keterampilan menulis kalimat sederhana bahasa inggris kelas 5 SD Sono. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian experiment pre experimental one group pre test post test. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 5 SD Sono yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran mastery learning yang meliputi orientasi, penyajian, latihan terstruktur, latihan terbimbing, latihan mandiri. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, test, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran mastery learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan, hal ini ditunjukkan oleh treatment dan tanggapan guru setelah serangkaian treatment selesai. Adapun hasil nilai keterampilan menulis sederhana di pre test adalah 68,3 sedangkan hasil pada post test adalah 76,6. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa treatment yang diberikan kepada siswa berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis sederhana pada siswa Hasil keterampilan menulis sederhana setelah diberikan treatment lebih tinggi daripada hasil keterampilan menulis sebelum diberikan treatment.

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of the learning model “mastery learning” against the skill of writing simple sentences in English Class of 5th grade Sono Elementary School. This research is a experiment pre-experimental one group pre test post test research. The subjects of this research were 5 th grade students of Sono Elementary School about to 24 students. While the object of this research is a learning model “mastery learning” which include of orientation, presentation, structured exercises, guided exercises, independent exercises. Data collection techniques using observation, testing, and documentation. The results showed that learning with learning model “mastery learning” effected the student learning outcomes significantly, this is indicated by the treatment and teacher responses after a series of treatment is completed. The results of the simple writing skills in the pre-test was 68.3, while on the post test was 76.6. This proves that the treatment given to the student has an influence to the students writing skills in writing simple sentence. The results for simple writing skills after treatment is higher than the results of the writing skills before the treatment.
