HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR FISIKA SISWA KELAS X

SMA SHALOM BENGKAYANG

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi tingkat prestasi yang dimiliki siswa, mengetahui distribusi frekuensi motivasi yang dimiliki siswa, dan mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan prestasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X SMA Shalom Bengkayag semester ganjil.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional berjumlah 120 siswa kelas X SMA Shalom Bengkayang, Kabupaten Bengkayang, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Data yang diperoleh adalah prestasi belajar siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam bidang studi fisika. Prestasi belajar siswa diperoleh melalui metode dokumentasi hasil nilai mid semester ganjil dan data motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh melalui metode angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan regresi sederhana.
Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa dan prestasi belajar fisika termasuk dalam kategori kurang. Adapun nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,191 yang menyatakan hubungan variabel motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar tidak signifikan.

Abstract

      This research is aimed to determine the distribution of the level of achievement of the students, knowing the frequency distribution of student’s motivation, and determine the relationship between student’s motivation and learning achievement of physics grade X Shalom Bengkayang high school.

      This study is a correlational study were 120 students of grade X Shalom bengkayang high school, Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. The data was obtained is student’s achievement and student’s motivation in the field of the study of physics. Student’s achievement is obtained through the method of documentation of mid-test score and student’s motivation is obtained using the questionnaire method. Data analysis was performed by using descriptive analysis and simple regression.

      Descriptive analysis showed that student’s motivation and learning achievement of physics included in the category of less. The value of the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.191 which states relationship between learning achievement and motivation variables were not significant.
