PENGEMBANGAN GAME EDUKASI CHEMIST ARENA SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MANDIRI SISWA SMA/MA KELAS X SEMESTER GENAP

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan game edukasi Chemist Arena sebagai pembelajaran mandiri siswa SMA/MA kelas X semester genap yang layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penilaian dilakukan menggunakan skor angket kualitas berupa skala Likert untuk mengetahui kelayakan game edukasi.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan strategi pengembangan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima langkah yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk awal ditinjau dan diberi masukan oleh ahli media, peer reviewer, dan ahli materi. Penilaian dilakukan oleh reviewer(5 guru kimia SMA/MA) dan 30 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Yogyakarta.

Kualitas game edukasi Chemist Arena berdasarkan hasil penilaian reviewer dan siwa adalahsangat baik (SB). Skor rata rata dari penilaian guru sebesar 131,40 dari maksimum skor 150 dengan persentase ideal 87,60%, sedangkan skor rata-rata dari penilaian siswa sebesar 127,78 dari maksimum skor 150 dengan persentase ideal 85.18%.Game edukasi Chemist Arena secara keseluruhan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran mandiri siswa SMA/MA kelas X semester genap.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media of education game of Chemist Arena as a source of independent learning for even semester of tenth grade of senior high school. The research also investigated the value of the media.

The research development was produced by use flash and done by using ADDIE development model consist of 5 (five) steps of development so called analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The initial product of media was reviewed by media and content  expert as well as peer of students. The assessment of the quality of the media was determined by 5 chemistry teachers of senior high school who get used to openity those kinds of media. The media was also tried out to respective students of tenth grade. Data were collected by use of Likert questionnaire.

The quality of the media of Chemist Arena based on both teachers and students assessments were very good. The average score from teachers were 131.40 of maximum score of 150 with the ideal percentage of 87.60%, while that from students were 127.78 of maximum score of 150 with the ideal percentage of 85.18%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the media of Chemist Arena was appropriate for use by student of tenth grade of senior high school.
