PERAN KOMITE SEKOLAH DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI SD UNGGULAN AISYIYAH BANTUL

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan guna mendeskripsikan peran komite sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pembelajaran yang meliputi pemberi pertimbangan, pendukung, pengontrol, dan mediator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, komite sekolah, dan wali siswa. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, menyajikan data dan verifikasi data dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) komite sekolah memberikan pertimbangan dalam RAKS, finalisasi kurikulum, pengembangan minat bakat, pembelajaran, dan penciptaan lingkungan belajar; (2) komite sekolah memberikan dukungan fasilitas pendukung pembelajaran, pengawasan belajar siswa di rumah, memberikan pelatihan membaca; (3) komite sekolah mengontrol penggunaan anggaran, standar pelayanan minimal sekolah, dan pembelajaran; (4) komite sekolah memediasi wali dengan sekolah dan memediasi sekolah dengan DPRD Kabupaten Bantul. Dalam melaksanakan Peran tersebut komite sekolah dibantu dewan kelas.

Abstract

This research was to describe role of school committee in improving the learning quality that includes giving advice, support, control, and mediation. This research was descriptive qualitative. The collection of data through observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The instrument is researcher himself. Subject of research are the principal, teachers, students, school committees, and student trustee. Data analysis using data reduction, presenting data and data verification with source and method triangulation. Results of this research were (1) school committee is giving advice in RAKS, curriculum finalization, development of interest and talent, learning, and creation of learning environments; (2) school committee supports by giving facilities to support teaching, supervision of student learning, training in reading; (3) school committees control budget usage, school’s SPM, and learning; (4) committee mediates school trustee with school and school with DPRD of Bantul. In carrying out the role, school committee assisted by class council.
