PENERAPAN METODE TEAM QUIZ UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KERJASAMA PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII A SMP NEGERI 1 JATISRONO TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012

Abstrak

Social Studies  teacher of VIII A grade SMP Negeri 1 Jatisrono rarely apply many varied learning methods, especially cooperative learning methods. This impact to poor teamwork of students. Based on that, researcher use Team Quiz Method to improve the teamwork of students in VIII A grade SMP Negeri 1 Jatisrono. This research is Classroom Action Research. The researchers collaborate with teachers. The research conducted 3 cycles and each cycle there is 1 meeting. Each cycle consists of three phases: planning, action and observation, and reflection. The subjects were 39 students VIII A grade SMP Negeri 1 Jatisrono. The data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, field notes, and documentation. The data validity used the triangulation method. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis technique, the calculation results of observation and questionnaire, and assessment task group. The research clared successful if students achieving teamwork percentage of 75% or more. The results showed the students teamwork has increased from first cycle to third cycle. Based on the observations, the first cycle of students teamwork is 50.75%. Most of the students have been able to appreciate the other members and participate in the task group. At second cycle students teamwork increased to 68.05%.  Most of the students to be more caring and sympathetic towards him group members. They also participate in group problem solving respectively. At third cycle students teamwork increased to 83.78%. Proper seating arrangements and tasks organization makes the students better on communicate and teamwork. Based on the calculation of the questionnaire, the students teamwork has increased. In the first cycle students teamwork is 56.40%. At second cycle students teamwork increased to 68.34%. In the third cycle students teamwork increased to 81.87%. Based on score of the task group, the first cycle there were 14 students get a score of 70. At second cycle increased to 26 students. Third cycle all students get a score of 70. This indicates that the application of Team Quiz Method has improved student teamwork.
